Gunjan Sinha of Guwahati won Jhalak Dikkhla Jaa season 10 after beating actor Rubina Dilaik and Faisal Shaikh in the finale. The eight-year-old lifted the winner’s trophy along with her partner Tejas Verma and choreographer Sagar Bora and also took home a cash prize of 20 lakhs. While Faisal was declared the first runner-up, Rubina was the second runner-up. Among the other celebrities, who participated on the show, were Ali Asgar, Amruta Khanvilkar, Dheeraj Dhoopar, Dutee Chand, Nia Sharma, Nishant Bhat, Niti Taylor, Paras Kalnawat, Shilpa Shinde and Sriti Jha. The show had filmmaker Karan Johar, actor Madhuri Dixit and actor-dancer Nora Fatehi as the judges.
Gunjan Sinha and her team were elated on their win and posed with the judges and the trophy after the finale. She said she now wants to represent India on an international platform.
“I never missed my studies because I was attending the classes online, but I am looking forward to meeting my friends in school. I will continue focusing on my dance while completing my studies,” she told Times of India in an interview.
Opening up about what she wants from her parents, she said, “We plan to go to an adventure park and I have told my parents that I want Elsa’s house (from the film Frozen) as a gift. They had promised me that they would gift it to me a few years ago. But now, when I am asking them for it, they are saying that I should be giving them a gift instead.”
On Sunday night, Gunjan shared a few pictures of herself with the trophy and how she watched the finale episode on TV. She wrote along with it, “So finally the trophy is here @sagar_bora sir @tejas_being_legend__ bhaiya. It can’t be possible without you all and your blessings thank you so much to each and everyone for all your love and support and votes, after 16 weeks of hard work finally we got this trophy.” She also thanked her team and Colors for providing her the platform.
