There is a lot of anger among the employees due to non-issuance of notification even after the announcement of implementation of Old Pension Scheme. As a result, the government employees of Punjab will protest against the Punjab government on 26 November in view of the upcoming elections in Gujarat.
President of CPF Union Punjab, Sukhjit Singh said that on October 29, an open rally was announced against the AAP government in Himachal Pradesh. But it was put on hold after the government assured to issue a notification on 3 November. Despite this, the Punjab government has not yet issued the notification.
Since the year 2004, there is huge resentment among the recruited employees. Shiv Kumar Rana, Pradeep Singh Boparai, Tejinder Singh and Amit Katoch by the CPF Employees Union District Mohali unit have appealed to the employees to actively participate in the rally, so as to put pressure on the Punjab government to issue the notification.

CM Punjab Bhagwant Mann had announced the implementation of Old Pension Scheme after the cabinet meeting just before Diwali. Along with this, 6 percent increase in DA of employees was also approved. But no definite time limit has been set for the implementation of the Old Pension Scheme.
