Goa Police rescues two men from Hyderabad in Rs 4 crore ransom case, 11 arrested


Goa Crime News: An incident of kidnapping has come to light from Panaji in Goa. Where two people from Hyderabad were held hostage for ransom. In this case, the Goa Police rescued both the victims and arrested 11 people. It is being told that the accused was demanding ransom from the relatives of both.

North Goa SP Nidhin Valson told the media on Saturday evening that the Hyderabad Police had shared the information about the hostage taking of the two. Based on the information, the Goa Police took immediate action and rescued the victims. The Superintendent of Police said that an FIR was registered in this matter in Hyderabad.

There is a case of ransom of three crores

SP Nidhin Valsan told that both were allegedly taken hostage after a dispute with the employer. He told that the accused had some dispute with the complainant Jairam Kumar regarding mining activities. The official said that they called two employees to Goa and took them hostage. Along with this, in the name of releasing them, they started demanding a ransom of Rs 3 crore.

Being connected to the Popular Front of India is being investigated

On getting information from the Hyderabad Police, the Goa Police formed a team together. The team nabbed the accused from Bambolim area near Panaji. The SP said that the connection of the main accused in the case with the banned organization Popular Front of India is also being investigated. He said that all the accused would be handed over to the Hyderabad Police for questioning.

In this case, one of the accused, Altaf Shah Syed, arrested from Bambolim area, is suspected to be associated with a banned organization called PFI. Other accused are Sunil Nayak of Sanguem, Shantinagar, Nikhil Patel of Ponda, Shafiullah of Madgaon, Zafar Sadiq Sheikh Hasan of Savordem, Sagar of Maupsa and Nishant of Porvorim. The Hyderabad Police has registered a case against the accused under sections 347, 387 and 34 of the IPC.
