Delhi and Haryana Police’s wanted criminal gangster Vikas Lagarpuria has been arrested by the Special Task Force (STF). The gangster was trying to escape abroad. STF has succeeded in catching it from the Delhi-Gurugram border. Lagarpuria was wanted in a robbery of Rs 30 crore in Gurugram.

STF Gurugram IG B Satish Balan told that Lagarpuria was traveling in a cab when he was caught. However, earlier another officer had given a statement that the gangster was arrested from Delhi airport. He was wanted by the Haryana STF in connection with the theft of Rs 30 crore in Gurugram. Two doctors, a Delhi policeman and a Haryana IPS officer are also accused in the case.

The accused gangster is a resident of Lagarpur village in Jhajjar district of Haryana. Several cases of murder, attempt to murder, dacoity, extortion and kidnapping are registered against him in Delhi and Haryana. The Delhi Police had issued a red corner notice against Lagarpuria, who was absconding for the last seven years.
The robbery was done on 4 August 2021
The incident is of August 4 last year. The gangster had barged into a flat in Sector 84 of Gurugram and decamped with Rs 30 crore in cash. The office of a private company was running from the flat. Amit alias Mitta, a member of the Lagarpuria gang, is a resident of Najafgarh in Delhi. Abhinav and Dhare of Uttar Pradesh have already been arrested by the police.

When Vikas Lagarpuria was caught by the police, he remained in jail for a long time. In the year 2015, he was arrested and kept in Bhondsi jail. Later, Vikas had sought parole from the court citing ill health of his family member. He disappeared after getting parole and is absconding since then.
