Police have busted a gang of women who came to deposit money in banks or used to carve the pockets of people going to withdraw money from the bank. Police have caught six robbed women from Madhya Pradesh. She used to rent a room in Jalandhar for ten-fifteen days by telling the story of some false compulsion of hers and then change the place. The gang of these robber women has duped many people in Jalandhar, Nawanshahr and Hoshiapur districts.

Most of the elderly people were the target of the robbery women who have been caught by the gang. It used to be deposited outside any bank or ATM. As soon as an elderly person used to come to the bank to withdraw money or deposit money, he used to follow him. Slowly, he used to carve the pockets of the bag and steal the cash.

These robber women were exposed in Dasuha of Hoshiarpur. A complaint was lodged with Dasuha police by an elderly Amlok Singh son Mahinder Singh resident Sharifpur that he had withdrawn Rs 60,000 from the bank account. He put 50000 rupees in the side pocket of the kurta while 10000 rupees in the front pocket of the kurta. But when he reached home, he saw that Rs 50000 was missing from his pocket.

On the complaint of the elderly, in-charge of police station Dasuha, Bikramjit Singh went to the bank and took possession of the CCTV cameras installed there as well as the footage of the CCTV cameras installed nearby. In the CCTV footage, it was found that the women of the gang came in an auto and very cleverly took away the money from the pocket of the elderly.

The caught gang would then take the police to present them in the court.

The police checked from which direction and in which direction the auto went after the incident. The police checked the number of the auto. After this, when the auto driver came to the hands of the police, the whole gang was exposed. The auto wala was also involved with this women’s gang. All this gang used to go to commit crimes in this auto.

Police officials said that the arrested women have been identified as Desan Sonam wife Basant, Archana wife Vikas alias Vicky, Jyoti wife Gabbar, Sarita wife Bala Ram, Kole wife Jagbali, Bharti wife Subes. All are residents of Gulkhedi police station Bohra district Rajgarh in Madhya Pradesh. While the auto driver has been identified as Pawan Kumar son of Wazir Chand, Raipur, Rasulpur district, Jalandhar. The police produced everyone in the court from where the court has sent them on remand for two days for interrogation.

Dasuha DSP Balbir Singh said that a case has been registered against the arrested women under Section 379-B of the Indian Penal Code for theft, 120B for conspiracy. He said that by interrogating them in remand, an attempt would be made to find out where and where they have committed the theft.
