Gang exposed to sell old mobile parts by making new phones, GST evasion also caught


Noida GST Raid: Noida Police has busted a gang that used to remove parts from old phones, set them in new packing and sell them at cheap prices by giving them the form of new branded phones. This work was being done at Inforcel Technology Private Limited Company, Sector 8, Noida. The main accused of this gang, Diwakar Sharma, has been arrested by the police. 350 mobile phones of different brands, a laptop, repairing equipment etc. have been recovered from the accused.

According to the Noita Sector 20 police station, this gang used to buy phones that became old and used to carry out their work by taking out its parts. In this way, the gang has sold more than two thousand phones so far. The gang was doing this work for the last five years. These phones have been sold without bills. Also, no record of the old purchased phone has been found with the accused. Efforts are being made to arrest other gang members.

According to the police, earlier this company used to do laptop repairing work as an authorized service center of companies like HCL, Dell etc. The owner of the said company has been told as Soumitra Gupta of Delhi and Arun Das of Greater Noida as director.

GST evasion allegations of about 5 crores

On the information of the police, the GST/Customs team also reached the spot. In the preliminary investigation, the case of GST evasion of about 5 crores has also come to light. A register has been recovered from them, in which only the names of those who buy illegal mobiles from NCR are recorded. The police believe that all these mobiles are probably looted or stolen somewhere because no details of the real owner of these mobiles have been received from them, nor do they have any purchase receipt etc., so that the real owner can be found. To be. According to the police, the gang used to buy phones online as well. No record of this was found with them.

An employee used to last only for 20-25 days

According to the police, the gang used to do its work in a cunning way. All the employees who were hired by them in the company, they used to hire them only for 20-25 days so that they could not get any information about their working method. These workers used to prepare a new phone by taking out the parts of different phones. The newly finished phones were sold at 50-60 per cent less than the cost of the original phones. No bill was given to the customer for this. Along with this, the actual packing of that phone was also missing. Like the cost of a real phone is one lakh rupees, then it was sold by them for 35-40 thousand rupees.

Looking for other gang members

Noida DCP Harish Chander told that in this case the accused Diwakar Sharma resident of Krishna Nagar Colony, Baraula Bypass Road, Police Station Bannadevi, Aligarh present address Gaur City, Greater Noida West has been arrested. Police is trying to nab more gang members.
