Chelsea have agreed to let Hakim Ziyech leave the club on loan, as the attacker opts for a move to Turkey as opposed to Saudi Arabia. Galatasaray have secured Ziyech’s signature for a season long loan deal, with a view to a permanent move, and a transfer could eventually net the Blues around £7.5 million.
The Turkish side have paid an initial £2.5 million for the duration of the loan and they will need to pay around £5 million more to guarantee that the Moroccan stays in Turkey next season.
The 30-year-old arrived at Stamford Bridge in 2020 in a deal worth around 40 million euros, but failed to impress, scoring six times in 64 games from the wing.
Ziyech was also linked with a move to Paris St Germain this summer, much the same as January when he had been expected to move to Ligue 1 with PSG.
Galatasaray have moved quickly to replace Nicolo Zaniolo, who signed for Aston Villa last week.
