Hyderabad crimeA 20-year-old man was thrashed by a mob of 15 youths near Punjagutta Metro station in Hyderabad. After the incident, all the youths fled from the spot. The name of the victim is being told as I Jairam. When some friends of Jairam reached the spot, the condition was very serious. One immediately called the police. However, before the arrival of the police on the spot, all the accused had fled.
When the police investigated the matter, it was found that the accused is a student studying engineering, whose name is Devargat Shriram. He along with 15 of his friends attacked Jayaram on Saturday (February 11) late night near Punjagutta metro station. The victim and the accused are residents of Khammam district. It was told that both of them have known each other since childhood. Differences were going on between the two for a long time on small matters.
Differences were going on regarding financial issues
Punjagutta Inspector C Harishchandra Reddy said that when Jayaram and two of his friends went to meet him near the Punjagutta Metro station, Sriram and 15 other men attacked the three and tried to force them into a car. Police say that for the last few months there was a dispute between Shriram and Jairam over some financial issues. A police patrol team reached the spot and dispersed the crowd.
Police engaged in investigation of the case
Police said that Devaragat Shriram and his friends were trying to take revenge on Jairam on Saturday. That’s why those people attacked Jairam. On Jayaram’s complaint, the Panjagutta police registered a case against Sriram and his friends and started investigation. SI N Giridhar of Panjagutta police station said that Jayaram is admitted in a private hospital.
