UP Crime News: A local court has convicted and sentenced former Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MLA Kartar Singh Bhadana for violating the model code of conduct here during the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. Along with this, the court has also imposed a fine of Rs 100 on the former MLA. Nine years ago, 68-year-old Bhadana had held a public meeting in Shamli during the 2014 Lok Sabha election campaign.
Let us tell you that during the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, former MLA and Bahujan Samajwadi Party leader Kartar Singh Bhadana, a resident of Faridabad, is accused of holding a public meeting without permission. Bhadana was booked under IPC section 188 for this violation.
Accusation of public meeting without permission
Giving information about the case, Shamli Superintendent of Police Abhishek said, Bhadana had held a public meeting without permission with about 100-150 supporters in Butrada village of Babri police station area during the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. A case was registered on this. In the case, on April 1, 2014, a charge sheet was filed against him in the court.
According to the police officer, the court of Civil Judge Senior Division/Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Vijay Kumar Verma has sentenced the BSP leader to one month’s imprisonment and a fine of Rs 100. Provision has also been made for additional imprisonment of 10 days for non-payment of fine.
Three-time MLA, has been associated with Gurjar movement
Please tell that Kartar Singh Bhadana has been MLA thrice. In which twice he won from Samalkha Assembly Haryana and once he won from Khatauli (Assembly Constituency) in Uttar Pradesh. Along with this, in the year 2007, Bhadana strongly raised the demand of Gujjar community on the issue of Gujjar reservation, which is also known as “The Gujjar Movement”.
