The SIT investigation has come to light in the case of making obscene videos of girl students in Chandigarh University hostel. The arrested accused student was making obscene videos of other girl students for 1 week. The SIT has recovered the laptop of the accused student and sent it to the forensic lab for investigation.
The SIT reached Hoshiarpur on Tuesday and questioned a young man named Mohit, who was earlier working in the mess of Chandigarh University’s hostel. SP Intelligence (Ludhiana) Rupinder Kaur Bhatti, who was involved in the SIT, interrogated him. Investigation has revealed that Mohit was chatting with accused Rankaj Verma and Sunny at the time when the accused student had sent the videos to her boyfriend Sunny. However, the student has told that she does not know Mohit.
DIG Ropar Range Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said that on Tuesday, the SIT went to the campus of Chandigarh University and saw the crime scene and checked all the bathrooms on the seventh floor of LC-3 Hostel. After questioning the hostel warden, their statements have also been recorded. Mobiles of all the three accused have been sent to the State Cyber Cell for investigation.

The SIT first interrogated the accused students, Sunny and Rankaj Verma, sitting alone. Then sit everyone together and ask questions. All the accused were questioned for a total of 7 hours and 50-50 questions were asked from them. During this also the student kept saying that she was being blackmailed, due to which she made videos of other girl students. The police have arrested the above three accused so far. But in the case, the names of many boys are coming out one after the other, who will be taken into custody and the police will soon interrogate them.
Police remand can be sought again
The SIT is currently awaiting the forensic report in the case. It may happen that the forensic report is handed over to the police only after the completion of the remand period of the accused. In such a situation, the police can again demand the remand of the accused from the court. If any link of Mohit is revealed in the report, then he can also be arrested. Apart from this, all the people with whom the strings of the case will be connected, they will all come on the radar of the police.
