Flood devastation in Pakistan
The situation in Pakistan has worsened due to heavy rains and floods. So far more than 1200 people have drowned in the cheeks of Kaal due to the floods. More than 400 children are also among those who died due to the floods. According to the information, 3.3 crore people are affected in this severe flood. Over 11 lakh homes have been damaged and 18,000 schools across Pakistan have been flooded. Roads and bridges have also suffered a lot. If the crop of 35 lakh acres was ruined, then lakhs of animals have died. Food crisis has also arisen.
Kedarnath disaster in the year 2013
The natural disaster that occurred on the date of 16-17 June 2013 in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand is still in the mind of every Indian. The sky disaster had left traces of destruction in the entire state including the Kedar Valley. The scene of the devastation was horrifying. Hundreds of people’s lives were ruined after the cloudburst in Chaurabari Lake. The formidable form of the Mandakini river was scaring everyone. Thousands of people were washed away in the water along with hundreds of houses and hotels. The bodies of 4700 pilgrims were recovered in the disaster. Skeletons of missing passengers were found for many years. More than three thousand people could not be traced. The exact number of those who died in the tragedy was also not known. About Rs 2700 crore was spent on the reconstruction of the areas affected by the catastrophe.
Nepal earthquake
The earthquake on 15 April 2015 caused great devastation in Nepal. The magnitude of the Richter scale earthquake was measured at 7.8. 8,964 people lost their lives in this earthquake. Along with this, more than 20 thousand people were also injured. This earthquake shook many states of India including Bihar and UP. Although there were many earthquakes in Nepal, but the earthquake of 1934 is in everyone’s mind. The magnitude of this earthquake, which occurred in the border area of Bihar state of India and neighboring Nepal, was measured at 8.4 on the Richter scale. More than 11 thousand people died due to this earthquake. Many houses had collapsed. There was heavy loss of life and property.
Tsunami in 2004 killed millions
On 26 December 2004, the lives of thousands of families were destroyed due to the tsunami. The coastal areas of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, including the Andaman and Nicobar Islands of India, were severely affected due to the tsunami caused by an earthquake in the Indian Ocean. About 10 thousand people died in this disaster and thousands of people went missing. During that time there was a 9.1 magnitude earthquake at a depth of 30 km under the sea of Sumatra, due to which the tsunami waves were raised. This caused massive destruction on Indonesia and surrounding islands. About 2.30 lakh people were killed in this.
Great devastation caused by earthquake in China
There have been many such incidents of earthquake in China and hundreds of people have lost their lives in it, but the earthquake in the year 1976 caused great devastation. This earthquake occurred in Tangshan city of China. The magnitude of this devastating earthquake was measured from 7.6 to 8.1. More than 2.5 lakh people lost their lives due to this disaster. In many reports, this number was said to be above 5 lakhs. Earlier in the year 1556 also there was a severe earthquake. During that time more than 8 lakh people were killed. Lakhs of people were injured. The lives of many families were destroyed.
