Flipkart FY22 Financial Results: The total loss of the country’s largest e-commerce company Flipkart has increased compared to the last financial year. The company has incurred a total loss of Rs 7800 crore during the financial year 2021-22. Which was Rs 5,352 crore in the last year 2020-21. Flipkart has given this information in the information sent to the stock market. This loss figure includes both the company’s business-to-business (B2B) arm Flipkart India and business-to-customer (B2C) e-commerce unit Flipkart Internet.

The company has informed in its regulatory filing to the stock market that during the financial year 2020-21, the loss of its B2C unit Flipkart Internet was Rs 2,907 crore, which has increased to Rs 4,399 crore in 2021-22. This also includes the financial results of the Flipkart Group units – Myntra and Instakart. The loss of Flipkart’s B2B unit Flipkart India (old name Walmart India) was also Rs 2,445.6 crore in 2020-21, which has increased to Rs 3,413 crore in 2021-22.

Explosive sale in the festive season
Looking at the total sales during the festive season, Flipkart company is leading the market. In the last week of September, a total of Rs 40,000 crore has been sold in the festive season sale. In this, the share of Flipkart has been Rs 24,800 crore i.e. 62 percent.

Even though the losses of the Flipkart group companies have increased, but their combined net income has also seen an increase of about 20 percent. The combined net income of Flipkart in 2021-22 has been around Rs 61,836 crore. In this, the net income of Flipkart India has been Rs 51,176 crore and that of Flipkart Internet is Rs 10,660 crore. In comparison, the company’s shared net income during the financial year 2020-21 was only Rs 51,465 crore, in which Flipkart India contributed Rs 43,349 crore and Flipkart Internet Rs 8,116 crore.
