On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti on 2nd October, Sports and Youth Welfare Department, District Agar and Municipal Council Agar organized Freedom Run in the city on the occasion of Fit India launch. The race took place from Vijay Stambh Square to Stadium Sports Complex. In this event, officials along with children were seen picking up garbage in the city.
The plug run was flagged off by the chief guest Ravi Kumar, Additional Collector. The main objective of this run was to make people aware of their health and cleanliness, so that people could be motivated to make their surroundings clean for their health.
