There was a stir in Nahtaur of Bijnor today at that time. When suddenly a house caught fire early in the morning, the fire took a formidable form and the cylinder kept in the house caught fire. The cylinder exploded. After the blast, the fire reached the nearby shoe shop. Houses and shops were burnt to ashes in the fire.
Goods worth lakhs of rupees were burnt to ashes. Local people, municipal tankers, and two fire tenders brought the fire under control after three hours of effort.
The fire broke out at 3 am
In fact, in the early hours of today, a sudden fire broke out in the house of Shamshad, who lives in Mohalla Shekhan of Nahtaur police station area, at 3 am. When all the family members were sleeping when the fire broke out, suddenly the family members were shocked to see the fire. Local people reached the spot and tried to extinguish the fire, but the fire could not be extinguished.
Due to the fire, the whole house was burnt to ashes.
Ceiling blown off due to cylinder explosion
The tankers of the municipality reached the spot and tried to control the fire, but the fire did not extinguish and suddenly the gas cylinder exploded. Due to which the roof of the house blew up. The fire took on a more formidable form and the fire reached Shahid Ansari’s footwear shop nearby. After three hours of hard work, two fire tenders and the tankers of the municipality brought the fire under control around 6 am. But by then everything was burnt to ashes.
Cause of fire not known
What caused the fire is yet to be ascertained. At present, the team of the fire department and the team of the police department are saying after investigating the matter. Locals say that the fire brigade vehicle arrived after 2 hours. On the information of the fire, ASP (East) Dharam Singh Marchhal along with CO Dhampur and Nahtaur police force reached the spot and brought the fire under control with the help of fire brigade.
