Kisan Suvidha: Many schemes have been started by the central government to double the income of the farmers. From sowing to giving good prices to the farmers, the government has introduced different schemes. These schemes provide social and economic facilities to the farmers.
Information has been given about five similar schemes run by the Central Government, which provide benefits to farmers ranging from financial assistance to fertiliser, facility to sell crops and insurance etc. To take advantage of these schemes, farmers do not have to pay any kind of fee. All these facilities can be availed under Kisan Suvidha Portal.
PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana
The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana was started in the month of February 2019 for financial assistance to the farmers, but it was implemented only in December 2018. . Under this scheme, farmers are given an installment of Rs 2000 every four months. This installment is given to the farmers thrice in a year i.e. Rs 6000 is given annually under this scheme. So far 12th installment has been released under this scheme.
Fertilizer Subsidy Scheme
The Government has introduced the Fertilizer Scheme to provide subsidy to the farmers on Fertilizer. Under this scheme, farmers are given fertilizer at a low price. This subsidy is given by the government to the fertilizer companies, due to which the farmers get the fertilizer at a lower price.
Kisan Rath Yojana
This scheme was started by the Government of India during the lockdown. Under this scheme, the farmer can take his crop to the market and sell it at a good price. Under this scheme, the farmer can take vegetables to paddy, wheat etc. to the market.
Crop Insurance
The Central Government has started the Crop Insurance Scheme to compensate the loss caused to the crops of the farmers. This scheme gives benefit to the farmers for the loss of crops. In case of crop damage, a complaint can be lodged under crop insurance within 72 hours. You will get the benefit of insurance only after registering the complaint within 72 hours. Agriculture Marketing and Procurement
Under this, farmers are given the facility to sell their crops. Farmers can sell their crops in the nearest market by registering on this. Also traders can buy from here to farmers at a reasonable price.
