Emotional moment with the children who came to meet the prisoners in jail.

With the aim of instilling hope in the minds of the prisoners who have good behavior during the jail term, leaving the path of crime and living with the family, the special meeting room set up in the Central Modern Jail, Faridkot, was started by the DIG Jail Ferozepur Zone Tejinder Singh Maud. Jail Superintendent Rajiv Arora was also present during this.

Maud said that criminals who spend more time in jail often become disillusioned with their families. Even in traditional meeting arrangements, it would have been possible for him to openly talk to his family. Special meeting rooms are being set up by the Prisons Department in the jails across the state to inculcate the concept of such prisoners to come out of the world of crime and come into the mainstream. In this, the prisoners in jail will be able to meet and talk face to face with their five family members.

The staff of the jail department will also monitor this room from outside. Apart from this, the jail authorities will be able to keep a watch inside with the help of CCTV cameras installed in these cells. He informed that this system is being started in the state from Faridkot Jail from today and soon this system will be started in all the jails of Punjab.
