Mika Marmol is a target for Everton, as the centre-back, currently playing for Andorra, looks set to move to England in a deal worth a reported 7 million euros. Marmol came through Barcelona’s youth ranks and played once in 2022 for the club’s first team, but primarily appeared for Barcelona’s B team.
Everton need to revamp their squad ahead of the new season, with Marmol said to be a replacement for Yerry Mina, who departed Goodison Park at the end of last season.
Mika Marmol can play as a left-back as well as a centre-back and the Toffees want the Spaniard to play as backup to Michael Keane and James Tarkowski. Arsenal defender Rob Holding is also a target for manager Sean Dyche, but Marmol is the current first option for the Blues.
Barcelona had first option on re-signing the defender but have opted not to make a move for the Andorra player, as they seek other defensive reinforcements during this transfer window. German club VfB Stuttgart and Italian side Atalanta are also interested in Marmol.
