The second one, in which you started making all these allegations in front of the media. We have heard your every complaint. Despite this, you went to the media and started saying that the Central Election Authority is conspiring against us.

Salman Soz had accused of rigging
Shashi Tharoor’s chief polling agent Salman Soz had made allegations of malpractices during voting in Uttar Pradesh. Soz had said – the rules of the Election Authority were flouted in Uttar Pradesh. The boxes were sealed without polling agent. Rules were broken in some other states as well. According to the rules, the polling agent should get a summary seat. It was not given to us.

Soz’s letter was leaked to the media
The letter, sent to the chairman of the Congress’s Central Election Authority (CEA), was leaked to the media. I hope the clarification sought by Salman Soz and the controversy will end now. This election is to strengthen the Congress, not to break it.

After voting on October 17, the ballot boxes were brought to the Congress Headquarters (AICC) at 24 Akbar Road in New Delhi. This is where he was counted.

Before the counting began on Wednesday, the ballot papers were mixed among themselves so that it could not be known which candidate got the number of votes from which state. Voting took place in 67 booths at 36 polling stations
The Central Election Authority (CEA) of the Congress had set up 67 booths at 36 polling stations in the election. Maximum 6 booths were in UP. One booth was made for every 200 delegates. 47 delegates, including Rahul Gandhi, who participated in the Bharat Jodo Yatra, cast their vote in Bellary, Karnataka.
