Earth shakes due to earthquake in Nepal, tremors of 5.1 magnitude were felt


Nepal Earthquake News: Earthquake tremors have been felt in Nepal today (October 19). According to the National Center for Seismology, the earth is shivering 53 km east of Kathmandu. This earthquake was felt at 2.52 minutes in the afternoon. However, so far there has been no report of any damage due to the earthquake.

Earlier in the month of July, earthquake tremors were felt in Nepal. The magnitude of the earthquake was measured at 6.0 on the Richter scale. During this, the earth trembled due to an earthquake 147 km away from Kathmandu. According to Nepal time, the tremors of the earthquake were felt at 8:13 am. The NEMRC had said that these tremors were felt at a place named Martim Birta in Khotang district. The epicenter of the earthquake was measured within a radius of 10 km of eastern Nepal.

Earlier on October 19, earthquake tremors of at least 4.2 on the Richter scale were felt in the Union Territory of Ladakh. The epicenter of the earthquake, which occurred at 8.07 am, was recorded 135 km north-east of the Leh belt of Jammu and Kashmir. There was no news of any damage during this period. The epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 10 km below the ground at 34.92 degrees north latitude and 78.72 degrees east longitude. This Himalayan region of the Union Territory is considered vulnerable to earthquakes.
