The number of people who died of drugs in Amritsar, Punjab is increasing. Last night another young man got drunk. Not only this, drug accomplices of the deceased youth also fled leaving his dead body on the roadside. Police have registered a case against unknown youths who gave drugs to the deceased by taking possession of the dead body.
The deceased has been identified as Amandeep Singh, a resident of village Nago. His body was found wrapped in cloth on the roadside on Lakhuwal-Sathiala road. The deceased’s brother Kanwaljit Singh told the police that Amandeep Singh had left his house in Nagoke village to get the mobile repaired. He was saying that he has to go to Baba Bakala Sahib for mobile repair.
Amandeep was addicted to drugs
ASI Sardul Singh, who is probing the case, says that Amandeep was addicted to drugs. He used to go out with his friends to make ends meet. At present, the family does not know with whom the deceased has gone. The body of the deceased has been sent to Baba Bakala Sahib Civil Hospital for examination.
Case registered against unknown under 304 IPC
Police say that action has been started by registering a case against those who provided drugs to the accused. Action has been started against the unknown by registering a case under IPC 304, 201 and 34 sections.
