delhi drug racket: The Special Unit of Delhi Police has once again busted the drug racket spread across NCR. In this case, the police has also arrested a drug peddler, whose name is said to be Rajeev Gupta. The police have recovered many suspicious items from the accused. Along with this, the police are still conducting raids to nab other members of the drug racket gang.
DCP Sagar Singh Kalsi of Delhi North told that the accused was running this racket through social media apps like WhatsApp, Rapido and Paytm. In this racket, he was targeting the new age boys and girls of DU. Along with this, this racket was also being run in many cafes of NCR.
A senior police officer told that on the basis of secret information, a raid was done in Kamla Nagar on February 18. In which it was found that the accused was running a drugs racket network in a building. After which the police raided there and arrested the accused Rajeev Gupta.
Police recovered ganja and charas
DCP Singh told that in the sudden raid, 3 kg of ganja, 0.5 kg of charas and methamphetamine were found from the accused. Along with this, 2 weighing machines, 2 smartphones with multiple social media accounts and many illegal items have been recovered from him.
Police told that the accused has been arrested. The accused is being interrogated after registering a case under relevant sections. Along with this, the police has formed a team and is preparing to nab other people associated with this racket.
