Dr. Harisingh Gour University: University College of Paramedical Sciences will be formed, 4 courses will run, Post graduate course in Environmental Science will also start

Dr. Harisingh Gaur University will also have paramedical, environmental science and interior designing studies from the next academic session i.e. 2023-24.

Dr. Harisingh Gour University will also have Paramedical, Environmental Science and Interior Designing studies from the next academic session i.e. 2023-24. In the 28th meeting of the Executive Council of the University held on Monday, approval was given to create University College of Paramedical Sciences, Department of Environmental Science. Along with this, the UG course of Interior Designing was also approved. Thus a total of 6 new courses will start in the university from the next session.

A total of 4 courses will be run in the University College of Paramedical Sciences. Diploma in Nutrition, Diploma in Health Inspector, Diploma in Physio Therapy- Occupational Therapy and Certificate Course in First Aid. Out of these, the First Aid Diploma course will be of 6 months duration. While the other three courses will be of one year duration each. And the Department of Environmental Sciences will run under the School of Biological Sciences. A PG course will run in this.

UGC had approved the posts in 2019 itself
The process of starting the Institute of Paramedical and Environmental Science in the University was going on for a long time. In the year-2019 itself, the approval to fill their posts was also received from the UGC. The posts were also approved. A total of 14 posts were sanctioned for the University College of Paramedical Sciences and 7 for the Department of Environmental Sciences. Advertisement has also been issued to fill them.

The course of interior designing was also approved in the university. The graduation level V-Walk Interior Design with Multiple Exit course will be of three years duration. It is being started on the basis of National Education Policy-2020. It may be noted that 4 new courses are also being started in the university from this session itself. These include two courses each in MBA and Engineering. EC’s approval was also done regarding the fees. The registration process for these has been completed.

Academic-non-academic posts can be filled
The model recruitment rule has also been adopted in the university. This will start the process of filling up the academic and non-academic posts. In the EC meeting, approval has also been given to fill a total of 248 posts of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor. Advertisement for filling these may be issued soon. Along with this, the process of filling the non-academic posts lying vacant for a long time can also start.

Approval has been given to start 6 new courses, new posts will also be filled
Permission has been received from EC to start a total of 6 courses of Paramedical, Environmental Science and Interior Designing. Advertisement has also been issued to fill the post of Paramedical, Environmental Science Institute. Their courses will start soon.
