DM taking information about the preparations for Chhath in Ghazipur.
In view of Dala Chhath festival, District Magistrate Aryaka Akhouri inspected the various ghats of the district and took stock of the arrangements there. Also gave necessary directions to the concerned officers.
The District Magistrate inspected the ghats near Dadri Ghat, Chitnath Ghat, Chhota Mahadev Temple in the city. During this, he instructed all the concerned officers to make arrangements for cleanliness, barricading, electrical system, deployment of divers, women constables with heavy police force in view of security at the ghats.
DM arrived to see the preparations for Chhath Puja.
Instructions to make the roads pothole-free
Along with this, instructions were given to the concerned officials to issue the identity cards of the sailors and divers stationed on the ghats. He directed the executive officer of the municipality to make temporary cloth changing rooms at all the ghats. Along with this, instructions were given to make the roads leading to the Ghats potholed. He directed that no kind of shops should be set up on the ghats, due to which there is a possibility of overcrowding.
DM said – keep ambulances stationed at the ghats
DM directed the Chief Medical Officer to ensure the arrangement of ambulances at the major ghats of the district. At each of the major ghats, the staff was asked to make control rooms/Khoya-Paya centres. The District Magistrate appealed to the people to celebrate the festival peacefully. During this, Deputy District Magistrate Sadar Pratibha Mishra, Chief Revenue Officer, Sushil Lal Srivastava, Sub Collector Akash Kumar, Executive Officer, Municipal Council, Ghazipur, Tehsildar Sadar and officers of other organizations were present.
