Taking action against adulteration in Bulandshahr, the team of Food Safety Department led by City Magistrate destroyed one and a half quintals of chhena sweets. It is being told that a foul smell was emanating from the sweets kept at the place of a famous sweet seller located on Ansari Road. Due to this the officials immediately destroyed the sweets.

Samples of 15 other food items have been sent from different areas of the district for examination. As the festivals approach, adulterants have become active. On Wednesday, on the instructions of DM CP Singh, the team of Chief Food Safety Officer Anil Kumar Singh and other Food Safety Officers under the leadership of City Magistrate took action. Taking action, the team took samples of sweets from three famous sweet sellers of the city.

Samples taken of Chhena Rasgulla and Khoya
During this, two quintals of adulterated chhena sweets recovered from Babulal Sweets located on Ansari Road in the city were immediately destroyed and samples of chhena rasgulla and khoya were taken. Whereas Khoya from Bhandar located in Satha area, took a sample of Chhena Rasgulla from Sweets shop located on Hospital Road, while Chhena from sweet seller located in Jirauli village of Anupshahar, Fat Namkeen from Surajpur Makhaina village of Dibai, Khoya in Aurangabad, Malagarh Samples of petha, gram flour laddus from Gulavathi, Bengali sweets from Kakod, gram flour laddus from Vair Badshahpur, two pieces of petha from Anupshahar and barfi from Jahangirabad have been sent for testing.

Avoid bright sweets
City magistrate Meenu Rana said that the in-charge of the food security department and city magistrate Meenu Rana has appealed to the people to refrain from consuming more bright sweets. Because food coloring does not adversely affect the health of people only when eaten in a prescribed quantity. He also ordered the team of the department to take action against the traders who make sweets bright by adding more colours. A total of 15 samples have been taken by running a campaign across the district on Wednesday. One and a half quintals of chenna was recovered from a sweet seller located on Ansari Road in the city, it was not looking good during the investigation. Due to this he was destroyed on the spot. The action will continue.
