On the occasion of Indian Air Force Day in Chandigarh today and on 8th October there is an air show at Sukhna Lake. The CTU buses have been given the responsibility to pick up the spectators from certain points and then drop them back. In such a situation, children, young and old people of the tricity will not be able to travel normally in CTU buses. Only 40 electric buses will run to serve the people in the tricity. All other buses will be busy for the air show to be held at Sukhna Lake.
Let us inform that in these buses of CTU, people including hundreds of children of schools and colleges travel for duty and other work since morning. On October 6 and 8, buses will be booked for air shows from around 10.30 am to 8.00 pm. Due to this, thousands of people going to school, college and business will have to depend on autos and cabs etc.
11 points have been made in the city from where CTU buses will pick up people for the air show and then drop them there. About 400 buses have been included in this by the administration. Thousands of people will reach the lake. Slots are also almost completely full. According to the information, it is the responsibility of CTU to transport 30-30 thousand people for the show on the lake on both the days. CTU’s 358 buses run on local route including 50 electric buses. In the city, 10 separate buses will be run to pick up and drop the VIPs to the lake.
