Critical care block to be built in Medical College, Firozabad: L-three trauma center and 42-bed capacity pediatric intensive care unit approved

Preparations have started for increasing health services in the Autonomous Government Medical College, Firozabad. In addition to the critical care block, a trauma center of 60 beds of L-3 category will be built at a cost of Rs 24 crore. Sadar MLA Manish Asija gave information in this regard after meeting Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Mansukhbhai Mandaviya in Delhi.

The MLA said that in the upgradation of health services, critical care block hospitals have been approved in six districts of the state, including Firozabad Medical College. A 50-bed hospital will be built here at a cost of 24 crores, in which there will be operation theatre, 16-bed ICU, 24-bed ward, five-bed emergency, two beds each for dialysis and maternity child health.

Tender process started
Similarly, L-3 category trauma center of 60 bed capacity will also be set up. The target has been set to complete it by the end of the emergency year 2023. He said that the process of tender has started for setting up of 42 bed capacity Pediatric Incentive Care Unit. After this, patients across the district will get benefit to a great extent.

Such patients who had to go out for treatment, they will now be able to get better treatment in the city itself. In a conversation with the city MLA, he told that the government is also serious about improving the medical college of Firozabad and the arrangements there. In such a situation, work is being done to fix various types of systems there. To meet the resources which are lacking here, a demand is also being made to meet the ministers and secretaries and get them fulfilled.
