COVID-19: How long should you stay in isolation? WHO released new guideline for Corona


WHO Covid-19 guidelines: The new wave of Corona has created an outcry in many countries of the world including China, Japan and America. The increasing cases of corona in these countries have also put India in worry. According to America’s Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the number of patients is increasing rapidly. The death toll from Corona has also increased significantly.

In view of these circumstances, WHO has once again issued a guideline for Corona. WHO has made it mandatory to wear masks in crowded areas. According to WHO, mask is very important to prevent corona. Apart from this, WHO has appealed to take booster dose of vaccine.

10 days of isolation is necessary – WHO

WHO has called isolation necessary for 10 days. WHO said, “If the symptoms of the virus are visible in the patients of Kovid-19, then they will have to remain in isolation for at least 10 days from the date of onset of symptoms.” Earlier, the WHO guidelines said that those who show symptoms of corona are discharged after 10 days of the onset of symptoms. Also, vigilance is taken for at least 3 days after the symptoms disappear.

This rule for those with negative reports

The WHO said, “If a corona-infected patient has a negative report in an antigen-based rapid test, he can be discharged early from isolation.” Apart from this, patients whose reports have come positive but do not show symptoms of Kovid, isolation of 5 days is necessary for them. Earlier the isolation period for these patients was ten days.

Corona on the verge of ending in India

At the same time, there is a continuous decline in new cases of corona in India. a day in the country corona virus 114 new cases of infection have been reported. With this, the number of people infected so far in the country has gone up to 4.46 crore (4,46,81,154). The Union Health Ministry told on Monday (January 16) that the active cases of corona have come down to 2,119. According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry on Monday, the corona in India has now reached the verge of extinction.
