Prime Minister Narendra Modi (Narendra Modi) has also recently appealed to the people to follow the Covid guidelines. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, during a review meeting with the health ministers of the states and union territories, had asked them to be alert and prepared to treat the disease. Amidst all this, masks have returned again in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Kerala and Mumbai.

Haryana

The Haryana government has made it mandatory to wear face masks in public places as a precautionary measure. The state health department has appealed to the public to adopt Covid appropriate behaviour. The district administration and panchayats have been directed to ensure that it is implemented in all parts of the state.

Kerala

Kerala has also made masks mandatory for pregnant women, the elderly and people with serious illnesses. Kerala Health Minister Veena George also organized a high-level meeting to assess the status of COVID-19 in the state. He also directed the health department to ensure the availability of oxygen and said that a special meeting of private hospitals would be held soon.

Mumbai

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has made masks mandatory for all patients, their visitors and staff in body-run hospitals. BMC has also appealed to citizens above 60 years of age to wear face masks in crowded places as a precautionary measure.

Puducherry

The Puducherry administration has made it mandatory to wear masks in public places with immediate effect. Employees working in hospitals, hotels, restaurants, liquor shops, hotels and entertainment areas, government offices and commercial establishments will compulsorily wear masks, it said in a statement.
