Corona confirmed in youth returned from China in Agra, sample sent for genome sequencing


Covid-19: The health department has swung into action after a young man who returned from China tested positive for Covid in Agra. Two days ago, when the test of this young man was done in a private pathology, he was confirmed to have Covid, due to which the rapid response team of the district tracked him down.

After tracking down, he forwarded the sample of that young man for genome sequencing. According to the UP government, there are orders for genome sequencing of every positive patient’s sample. In view of the increasing global Covid cases around the world, random sampling and testing of patients coming from abroad is being done in India.

What is the current status of Covid in the country?
In the last 24 hours, 227 new cases of Kovid-19 have come in India, while the total number of patients under treatment has increased to 3,424. According to the Union Health Ministry, according to the latest data received till 8 am on Sunday (December 25), the total number of infection cases in India has increased to 4,46,77,106.

At the same time, under the nationwide anti-Covid-19 vaccination campaign, 220.05 crore doses have been given so far.
