Congress has laid siege to AAP’s Punjab government over the issue of rising sand rates. Congress Punjab President Amarinder Singh Raja Vading has said that before the elections, Arvind Kejriwal used to claim to earn 20 thousand crore rupees only from sand and gravel. Now that the AAP government has been formed for 6 months, then Kejriwal should give the account of only 10 thousand crores.

While interacting with the media, Raja Vading said that AAP has a policy that tell a lie a hundred times, so that people start believing it to be true. AAP made the most noise regarding sand and gravel. The sand which was available at Rs 5 per ft during the tenure of Congress, is now getting at Rs 9. In this way, Kejriwal will earn 20 thousand crores by increasing the rate.

crusher owners don’t have site

The department has given public information regarding 29 sites that there are 21.29 lakh metric tonnes of sand, valued at Rs 48 crore. Vading claimed that there is no sand at these sites. The department released their information without investigation. He said that in the policy there is a provision to deposit 3 to 5 lakh security from the crusher owner, while the crusher owner does not even have a site.

Former Deputy Chief Minister of Congress Sukhwinder Singh Randhawa alleged that during the tenure of Congress government, sand trolley which was available for Rs 3200, now has to pay Rs 8,000. He asked where is the sand that has been made expensive is going? Is this money going directly to Kejriwal?
