Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann has described Congress and BJP as two sides of the same coin. He said that the leaders of both the parties have joined hands to break the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government elected by the people. That is why a trust vote was brought in the assembly. Presenting the trust vote, the CM said that the BJP is misusing the anti-defection law through backdoor across the country to form its government.
Despite this, the Congress is supporting the BJP. The CM said that through the trust vote, the facts have been placed before the people. He termed shameful sloganeering by Congress leaders against the Speaker, who is holding the sacred post of the Assembly, as unfortunate. The Speaker of the Assembly has extended the time limit of the session by 3 days. Now the proceedings of the session will continue on 29th and 30th September and also 1st October.

CM Mann said that the BJP has dissolved the elected governments in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka and other states by luring the MLAs. Attempts were made to dissolve the government thrice in Delhi and now efforts are on in Punjab to horse-trade MLAs with the lure of money. The BJP is trying to buy AAP’s aces from its dukes on the lines of antelope to grab power.
BJP is also on the footsteps of Congress. The Congress leadership made distance from states like Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh during the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ from Kanya Kumari to Kashmir with the intention of removing the BJP in the elections. The leaders who used to divide people, because of AAP, they are now seen inaugurating schools, colleges and hospitals. Defections are ruling in BJP.
Former CM Captain Amarinder Singh walked at the behest of the BJP during his tenure and has now formally joined the BJP. CM Mann also targeted former CM Charanjit Singh Channi and said that this is the first time that the CM face of a party has disappeared after the defeat in the elections. He attributed Channi’s disappearance to irregularities during his tenure.
AAP’s historic scheme
CM Mann said that AAP passed the historic scheme ‘One MLA’s Pension’. Dedicated about 100 clinics in the state to provide health facilities to the people. Provided 600 units of free electricity to lakhs of households and started the new recruitment process, the process of regularizing the jobs of contract employees is going on. The state government will also start a scheme to provide flour and pulses to the beneficiaries at their homes.
Congress is unable to digest defeat
CM Mann said that victory and defeat is part of life, but Congress is not able to digest it. For this reason, the operation has landed in the favor of Lotus. The bankruptcy of the Congress is such that it has gone to the extent of selling its MLAs and did not even manage its home in Rajasthan with the Congress leadership who went on the Bharat Jodi Yatra. Leader of Opposition Pratap Singh Bajwa was shocked by the failure of Operation Lotus.
