The political battle between the Aam Aadmi Party and the BJP continues in the capital Delhi. The result of this is that on Monday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is going to present the confidence motion in the assembly. However, there is also a possibility of a loud commotion during this time.
Kejriwal had alleged that BJP has offered Rs 20 crore to his MLAs to topple the AAP government in Delhi. So they will move the vote of confidence.

Why is the confidence motion brought, also know the process
According to the parliamentary procedure, the confidence motion in the states is brought in the assembly, which is proposed by the current government i.e. the Chief Minister. If the speaker accepts the motion of confidence, then the ruling party gets a chance to speak in the house.
However, in special circumstances, the President or the Governor can also ask the government to seek a vote of confidence in the House. In this situation, if the government wins the trust vote, after 15 days the opposition can again bring a no-confidence motion against the government.
Kejriwal has more than two-thirds majority
On Friday, 26 August, there was a lot of uproar in the special session of the Delhi Legislative Assembly. The BJP MLAs were thrown out under marshal for recording the proceedings of the House during the session. Although the Aam Aadmi Party has 62 MLAs in the Delhi Assembly, the BJP has only eight. Due to this the confidence motion is likely to be passed easily.

Only last week, Kejriwal had reached the Raj Ghat with all his MLAs to perform a show of strength at the samadhi of Mahatma Gandhi. This is the reason for the discord between AAP-BJP
On August 19, the CBI raided Manish Sisodia’s house regarding the excise policy. Which lasted for about 14 hours and the CBI had registered a case in this matter under the PMLA Act. Since then, AAP has been vocal against the ruling party BJP at the Centre. Sisodia had said after the raid that the BJP had offered him to quit AAP and become the CM. Vajpayee government had fallen on the confidence motion itself.
In the year 1999, the then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who was full of confidence in the Lok Sabha, presented a confidence motion in the Lok Sabha in favor of his government. There was a lot of debate on this. During this, the people of the country got to hear some of the best arguments in parliamentary history. In the end voting, the Vajpayee government fell by one vote. The incident of the fall of the government by one vote in Parliament is considered historical.
Confidence motion was moved 12 times in the history of the Indian Parliament. Out of which 3 times the government had to resign. First to VP Singh in 1990, second to HD Deve Gowda in 1997 and third to Atal Bihari Vajpayee in 1998.
