In Gwalior on August 24, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan reached Gwalior airport at around 11:15 pm after taking stock of the flood affected villages. Where he discussed with the public representatives and senior officials of Gwalior district and inquired about the rainfall in Gwalior district. He also directed the officials to keep an eye on the rising water level of dams and rivers and as a precautionary arrangement should be made round the clock to deal with floods and heavy rains.

Instructions given to police officers to be alert
Collector Kaushalendra Vikram Singh informed that the district has received an average rainfall of 503 mm so far. At present there is no flood situation anywhere in the district. Nevertheless, as a precaution, the field staff of Revenue, Farmers Welfare and Agriculture Development and other related departments have been alerted. Along with this, all kinds of arrangements have been made as a precaution to deal with possible floods. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had reached Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Airport Maharajpura by air at around 6.30 pm on Wednesday.
From here he reached Morena by helicopter and took stock of the flood affected villages. Along with this, by taking a meeting of the officers at the district headquarter Morena, reviewed the efforts being made to provide relief to the flood affected families. Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Horticulture and Food Processing and Minister in-charge of Morena district Bharat Singh Kushwaha also accompanied the Chief Minister on a tour of Morena district. After this, Chief Minister Chouhan reached Gwalior airport at around 11.15 pm and after discussing with public representatives and administrative officers, left for Bhopal by state plane with Minister of State Kushwaha at around 11.30 pm.
