Amritsar Custom Department of Punjab launched its cleanliness drive in the past. During this, he cleaned the junk lying in his various offices inside Punjab and sold the goods collected from there. After that, where he got additional space for his work, he also saved more than a lakh rupees by selling junk.

An official of the Customs Department informed that a cleanliness drive was carried out on behalf of Amritsar Range at his Amritsar Resident, Amritsar Headquarters, Pathankot and Bhikhiwind office. During this, the department inspected 799 files and resolved them by taking all necessary actions. During this, 1607 square feet of space was vacated and broken chairs, tables, computers, cupboards and other items kept there were disposed off.

Earning Rs 1.13 lakh, the officer informed that after removing the goods for many years, now the department has got an additional 1607 square feet space for its work. In which many air conditioner rooms are also there. Not only this, the department has also collected Rs 1.13 lakh from all the goods that came out during this period and were sold in junk. which has been handed over to the department.
