Newly appointed ten judges including Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court Ravi Shankar Jha.

Chief Justice Ravi Shankar Jha administered the oath to the newly appointed 10 judges of the Punjab and Haryana High Court today. For this a simple program was organized. The newly appointed judges who took oath include Justice Kuldeep Tiwari, Justice Gurbir Singh, Justice Deepak Gupta, Justice Amarjot Bhatti, Justice Ritu Tagore, Justice Manisha Batra, Justice Harpreet Kaur Jeevan, Justice Sukhwinder Kaur, Justice Sanjeev Beri and Justice Vikram Agarwal. Many judges and lawyers of Punjab and Haryana High Court were also present in this program. Significantly, on Tuesday, the President had issued orders for the appointment of 10 judges, including 5 women judges, to the Punjab and Haryana High Court. With this, for the first time in the history of the High Court, the number of women judges has reached 13. This is also the first time in the history of the High Court that the total number of judges has touched the 66 mark. Now the number of judges in the High Court has increased to 77 percent of the sanctioned posts. The total sanctioned strength of High Court is 85.
