The 33rd Annual Free Eye Checkup and Operation Camp has been organized on Sunday at Shri Satyanarayan Mandir Complex, Kapurthala city, Punjab. A team of 15 doctors from Ruby Nelson Memorial Hospital, Jalandhar examined the eyes of the patients. Long queues of those who got the checkup done in the temple premises continued till 4 pm.
Dr. Rajendra Bhola and Naresh Gosai, the chief servitors of the temple committee, told that for the convenience of the visiting patients, where the facility of the test as prescribed by the doctors after the checkup has been made available. There is also proper arrangement of food and drink arrangements for the patients.

Now there will be 5 days operation
On the first day of the camp, Dr. Jacob Prabhakar and the team of eye specialist doctors checked the eyes of 1465 people who arrived from different districts and adjoining cities of the state in the OPD. Out of which 615 patients were selected for the operation. The process of eye operation of the patients selected for the operation will start from Monday and will continue for the next 5 days.

Arrangements for the stay of patients in the temple
Dr. Rajendra Bhola, Sevadar of Management Committee said that under the leadership of committee head Ashwani Sharma, a team of more than 50 sevadars is working day and night to make the free camp a success. Arrangements for the stay and food and drink of all the patients selected for the operation were also done in the temple premises itself.
