In Jalandhar, Punjab, CIA staff has arrested a person with 60 grams of heroin. This person was also caught with drugs in the month of March. After coming out on bail, he again got involved in the work of drugs.
Police officials said that Yogesh alias Joni son Kishan Lal Bhargava, a resident of Suraj Ganj, was coming from the camp. The CIA staff had put up a naka near Avtar Nagar street number 13 near Regent Park Hotel. When Yogesh aka Joni saw the police in Avtar Nagar near the hotel, he turned back and started running.
The police suspected that Joni was chased. After arresting him, when search was done, 60 grams of heroin was recovered from his pocket. The police have registered a case against Joni under NDPS. Police officials said that the police will take Joni on remand from the court. Officials said smugglers in the city are now doing home deliveries in small quantities. Joni himself is also addicted to drugs, he also does home delivery work to fulfill his addiction.
He said that during his remand, efforts would be made to find out from where he had brought the drug and to whom he was going to give it next.
