The accused, who attacked the famous Nukkad Dhaba of Chandigarh Sector 22 with a sword late last night, has been caught by the police. This young man was describing himself as a member of the famous gangster Lawrence Gang. The accused youth named Mukesh Pasi had injured 3 people at the dhaba with his sword. According to the information, the accused has told that he has no relation with Lawrence gang. However, the police is probing this angle as well. His police remand has been taken for 2 days.

He had injured two other people including the artisan. A Haryana number car parked outside the dhaba had fled by breaking the glass. The accused was claiming to be a member of Lawrence gang. The entire incident was recorded in the CCTV installed at the dhaba.

DSP (Central) Gurmukh Singh said that action was initiated by the police by registering an FIR immediately regarding the incident. He said that the accused was identified and arrested on the basis of the CCTV footage. The criminal record of the accused has also been examined. Police said that earlier also a rape case was registered against the accused in Sector 11 police station. However, the accused was acquitted due to some reason.

Regarding the incident of Nukkad Dhaba, the police said that the accused was drinking liquor outside the contract on the night of the incident. The Dhaba owner had stopped him. Because of that the accused attacked. According to the police, the accused will be questioned on remand regarding Lawrence Link. Police said that the accused is a resident of Sector 35. The accused works in private and his father is in government job in BBMB. They are allotted government quarters in Sector 35.

The owner of the dhaba, Pankaj, had told that two youths were drinking alcohol in the open near his dhaba in the street. He was prevented from doing so. He started a debate on this. After that left from there. After that, late at around 11.45 pm, one of them came with a sword and ransacked the dhaba and one of their relatives was cut off with the sword.
