Car snatchers caught in Amritsar: Baleno car was robbed from Ranjit Avenue showing pistol, two other vehicles also recovered

The accused were caught with three recovered cars.

Police have succeeded in nabbing a gang of three youths who carried out car snatching incidents in Punjab’s Amritsar in the past. The three arrested youths are residents of Amritsar Rural area and used to run towards their villages after robbing the car on the strength of arms. Police have recovered three cars that were snatched from the accused.

Police Commissioner Arun Pal Singh informed that the three arrested have been identified as Lakhwinder Singh alias Goldy, resident of Rampura, Gurpreet Singh Goli, resident of Talwandi Dogra and Captain Singh of the same Kagaon. A few days back, the accused had snatched the car with arms from the parking lot near Best Western Hotel located at Ranjit Avenue B-Block. Since then the police was busy in finding the accused. Some CCTV footage had come to the fore, from which the clue of the accused was found.

Apart from the red colored Blano car that was snatched from Ranjit Avenue, the police have also recovered two other cars Beat and Swift. Police is gathering information about the owners of both the other cars and the complaints made by them. At present, the police have obtained the remand of the accused, so that they can collect information about other cases as well.
