A sub-inspector of UP police who came from Hapur in UP to collect bribe money was caught red-handed by the State Vigilance team. A bribe amount of Rs 30,000 has also been recovered from his possession. The accused is being interrogated. On the other hand, after being caught on the charge of taking bribe, the accused sub-inspector has also been suspended by the SP of Hapur. It is told that he had come to Faridabad without being sent to the police station, that is, without anyone’s permission.

According to the information, a resident of Faridabad village Budhaina in UP’s Hapur district, police station Babugarh had lured a girl away with the intention of marrying her. A case has been registered against him in the Babugarh police station under sections of the POCSO Act. Sub Inspector Surendra Singh of Babugarh police station is probing the case. It is alleged that he demanded a bribe of Rs 30,000 instead of removing the section of POCSO in the case of the accused. Adesh, the brother of the accused, complained about this to the State Vigilance. The Vigilance team made a plan and called the sub-inspector to Faridabad. On Thursday, sub-inspector Surendra Singh came to Sector 81 Faridabad to collect Rs 30,000 as bribe. As soon as the complainant gave the money, the State Vigilance team nabbed him on the spot and also recovered the amount.
