A horrific accident took place on the Betul-Amravati State Highway on Thursday night. At around 2 pm, 11 people died in a head-on collision between an empty passenger bus and a Tavera car. The accident happened 1 km from Jhallar village.
The bus was coming towards Betul, while the car was coming from Paratwara with laborers. The bus had reached about a kilometer away from Jhallar village when both of them had a direct collision. The incident was so gruesome that all the 11 people in the car died on the spot.
With the help of people, the police took out 7 out of 11 bodies. The bodies of the remaining 4 had to be removed by cutting the car. The dead included 6 men, 3 women and 2 children. All the dead bodies have been sent to the Primary Health Center in Jhallar, where their PM is being done.
There was a head-on collision between the bus and Tavera. In which everyone in the car died.
The accident happened about one kilometer from Jhallar village.
