Moving ahead in the direction of e-governance, the Chandigarh Administration has given a big relief to the tourists including the residents of the city. From now on there will be no need to go to the government office and get a pass to go to the Sukhna Wildlife Sanctuary. The Department of Forest and Wildlife of Chandigarh Administration will now issue the pass online. From now on anyone who wants to visit Sukhna Wildlife Sanctuary can take e-permit.

For this, you can take a permit by paying on https://www.chandigarhforest.gov.in. This online facility has been started with immediate effect. The Sanctuary includes Naples and Kansal Forests. There are many species of wild animals and birds present here.

This is the permit fee

Entry to the sanctuary is free for children up to the age of 5. There is a permit fee of Rs 30 for children in the age group of 5 to 12 years. For Indian tourists above 12 years of age, the permit fee is Rs 50. For foreigners, this fee has been kept at Rs 100. If school children coming on educational tour come with the teacher, then there is no fee. The parking fee per vehicle has been kept at Rs 20 for two-wheeler, Rs 50 for car and Rs 100 for bus.

Let us tell you that earlier, one had to go to the Forest Department office in Sector 19 and fill in the information like tourist and vehicle number in the form. After this, the department used to issue permits after fixing a day. One had to apply for a permit about a week before the tour. In such a situation, two visits to the department had to be made.
