After Damoh in MP, a power transformer of 200 MVA capacity has been installed in Rewa. It was informed that Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company has installed the first 200 MVA capacity power transformer at Rewa in Vindhya region at a cost of Rs 13 crore. It is claimed that this transformer is the second such sub-station of 220K V voltage level in Rewa after Damoh.

Where Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company has installed this special design made transformer in place of the prevailing rating. It is worth mentioning that in the past, 220/132 V substation Silpara was energized. Due to which there has been a significant increase in the transmission capacity of Rewa and the reliability of the transmission network of Rewa has also increased.

Installed in 160 MVA capacity setup
Superintending Engineer Testing and Communication Satna SP Waje said that there was a need to increase the capacity in the substation for reliable and continuous power transmission in Rewa area. In view of this, Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company has energized this transformer of 200 MVA capacity by getting it prepared with special design at Silpara. Along with the higher capacity, this transformer also gets installed in the setup of the prevailing 160 MVA capacity power transformers. Due to which more capacity transformer can be installed in less space.

SP Vaje said that due to this capacity addition, the installed transformation capacity of Silpara has increased from 160 MVA to 360 MVA on the Wh side of 220, while the total installed capacity of Rewa district has now increased to 680 MVA on the Wh side of 220 and 690 on the Wh side of 132. Has been.

Power transmission from eight ultra high pressure substations
Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company is engaged in transmission of electricity through eight ultra high pressure substations in Rewa district. Out of which there are 2 substations of 220 kV. These include Sirmaur and Silpara. At the same time, 6 substations of 132 KV transmit electricity in the district through Rewa, Sagra, Manganwa, Mauganj, Atraila and Katra substations.
