Stressing on the need to follow COVID appropriate behaviour, CCMB Director Vinay K Nandikuri said that there is always a concern that all these variants have the ability to evade the immune system and can infect those people as well. , who have been vaccinated and even those who have been infected with the Omicron form.
He told PTI-language, “The infection of the current form is not as serious as the infection of the ‘delta’ form of the virus used to be. This is because we have ‘herd immunity’ to an extent.
