Beginning of setting up of tent city with land worship: Bhoomi worship of police line camp with Vedic chants, land leveling work started

Preparations for Magh Mela started with Bhoomi Pujan in Prayagraj. Additional Director General of Police Prayagraj Zone Prayagraj, Inspector General of Police Prayagraj Circle Prayagraj, and Senior Superintendent of Police Prayagraj and other officers performed Bhoomi-Poojan with Vedic rituals and chants at the holy confluence site for the upcoming Magh-Mela 2022-23.

The city of tents settled on the banks of the Sangam became Shri Ganesh with the Vedic chanting of the police line camp and the worship of the land. With this, preparations have been started for the Magh Mela to be settled in January 2023. The land leveling work has been started from Thursday itself.

SP Magh Mela will be deployed soon

Temporary construction work has been started for allotting land to institutions, bridging the swamps caused by floods, land leveling as well as setting up camps in Magh Mela. Along with this, Prayagraj Mela Development Authority has also started its work. The process of deployment of other officers including SP Mela has also been started in the police lines of the fair. Officers will be posted in the fair soon after getting approval from the government. Shailesh Pandey of Prayagraj told that after Bhumi Pujan, now the work of setting up police stations and fire stations for Mary will be started. However, the process of tendering has not yet been completed for laying the chalked plate and making a network of roads for Magh Mela 2023.
