A batch of Sikh pilgrims left for Pakistan on Friday to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Panja Sahib Saka. Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee wants to perform kirtan at Panja Sahib Gurdwara and railway station during this period. In order to pay tribute to the martyrs killed in Panja Sahib Saka, but Pakistan has hurt the SGPC by rejecting 40 VJs.

The batch left under the leadership of former Pramukh Gobinder Singh Longowal and Head Granthi Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Malkit Singh.

SGPC Secretary Partap Singh has alleged that Pakistan, Government of India and Punjab Government have conspired to reject visas of Granthi of Golden Temple, members of SGPC, Ragi, Dhadi Jatha and Kavshree Ragi. So that Sikhs cannot go to Panja Sahib and do simran of the Gurus in the right way. He said that there is a group of three in the group of Ragi, Dhadi and Kavishriyas, who together perform Simran of the Gurus, but the visa of one each has been cut off from all the groups. But Sikhs will not be afraid of this and even with less visa, the gurus should be simran.

Visa granted for 6 days
The pilgrims, who received 117 visas granted by the Government of Pakistan, today left for Pakistan via the Attari border under the leadership of former Pradhan Gobinder Singh Longowal and Head Granthi Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Malkit Singh. They have been given 6 days visa. The batch will return on November 2. On the other hand, the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Giani Harpreet Singh will leave for Pakistan on Saturday.
