The Bachaula gang conducting marriages is active in Ludhiana district of Punjab. People from outside states are being cheated of lakhs of rupees by luring them to get married. The incident is from Rohtak in Haryana. Manish and Arvind, residents of Rohat, reached Ludhiana today.

He was called to the court premises by a person from Ludhiana. This person used to work in getting middlemen relationships. It is being told that these people used to take money by getting people’s relations done.

Manish told the police that his brother-in-law had found a man from Ludhiana at the salon shop. He had said that his acquaintances are from an ashram. Who gets girls married. There are three girls in his identity for whom boys are needed. Because of this, he talked about the marriage of three youths to him. The talks went on for about 3 to 4 months.

Manish said that accused Raju called him to Ludhiana. Raju got them a room in a hotel near the bus stand. The accused got the victims a room for Rs 3 thousand. The accused gave only 500 rupees in advance to the hotelier, the remaining money was given by the victims themselves. In the same hotel, the three grooms were sitting to get married.

Accused Raju called him to the Ludhiana court today and asked for a fee of Rs 50,000. Raju told him to take 50 thousand rupees per registration fee from him. After that, the accused told him that he would get the receipt of the money from the court itself. The accused absconded after taking money from the victims.

After falling prey to this fraud, Manish and Arvinder reached Police Station Division No. 5 and lodged a complaint. SHO Balwinder Kaur of Police Station Division No. 5 said that the complaint of the victims has been registered. The accused absconded with about one and a half lakh rupees. Traps have been laid to nab the accused. On in-depth investigation of the case, it was found that the accused Raju is being told of Dhandari area.

At the same time, those who had given one and a half lakh rupees will also be investigated for what they have given 50 thousand rupees per girl. It is also being ascertained whether such ruckus has happened anywhere else in the city.
