Bengaluru Rapido Video Viral: A video of Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka, is going viral on social media. In this video, the autorickshaw driver is showing his bullying over a Rapido bike driver and is abusing him.
Acting on the basis of the viral video, the Bengaluru East Division Police on Friday said that the autorickshaw driver who allegedly harassed the Rapido Taxi bike driver has been taken into custody. A police officer said that the auto driver was issued a notice under Section 41A of the CrPC and has been taken into custody by the Indiranagar police station. He is currently in custody and we will start further investigation as per procedure.

In the viral video, the auto driver is first seen breaking the helmet and mobile of the Rapido driver. The Rapido then proceeds to slap the driver and then goes on to say that the Rapido bikes are plying illegally. This is driving rapido bike in foreign city without any fear. This shows how bad our auto (transport) department is.
Despite having a white colored number plate, this foreign youth was giving a ride to a woman. At the same time, the Rapido driver is not seen reacting in any way to such antics of the auto driver. However, it seemed that this video was deliberately made at the behest of the auto driver.

Rapido issued a statement
Condemning the indecency with its Rapido driver, Rapido issued a statement on Friday saying, “An auto driver in Bengaluru has committed a cowardly attack on one of our captains, which we condemn.” We would like to thank the police officers for their quick action in starting the investigation and promised strict action. According to the information, the bike taxi driver working with the aggregator Rapido is said to be related to the northeastern state. At the same time, a few days after the video went viral, the Bangalore city police tweeted that the Indiranagar police is looking into the matter. Indiranagar police said that they reached out to the victim and asked her to file a complaint. But, the Rapido driver did not file any complaint, so the police took cognizance of the incident on the basis of the viral video.
