Audi India Hike Prices: Germany’s luxury car maker Audi has once again decided to increase the prices of its vehicles. Audi India is going to increase the prices of its cars and SUVs by 2.4 percent from next month. The company has said in its statement that due to increase in input cost and increase in supply chain cost, it has been decided to increase the prices of vehicles.
According to Audi India, the decision to increase the prices of cars and SUVs by 2.4 percent will be applicable from September 20, 2022. Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head, Audi India said, “At Audi India, we are committed to operating a sustainable business model. Due to rising cost and increasing supply chain cost, we need to increase our model range by up to 2.4 per cent. Let us tell you that earlier from April 1, 2022, the company had announced to increase the price of its vehicles by 3 percent.
Audi India’s current line-up includes the petrol-powered A4, A6, A8 L, Q2, Q5, the recently launched Q7, Q8, S5 Sportback, RS 5 Sportback, RS 7 Sportback and RS Q8. The company’s electric vehicle portfolio under the e-tron brand includes the e-tron 50, e-tron 55, e-tron Sportback 55 and e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT. Earlier it was reported that Audi is going to focus only on electric vehicles and will stop production of vehicles running on International Combustion Engine (ICE).
In the year 2021, there has been a jump of 101% in the sales of Audi vehicles. At the same time, between January and June in 2022, there has been a 49 percent increase in sales. Earlier, due to increase in cost, companies like Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors have also increased the price.
