According to the Union Health Ministry, the national rate of recovery of patients in the country is 98.80 percent. With this, a total of 4,41,54,842 people have become infection free in India so far, while the death rate from Kovid-19 is 1.19 percent. According to the website of the Ministry of Health, 220.64 crore doses of Kovid-19 vaccine have been given so far under the nationwide vaccination campaign in the country.

Most were recorded in Karnataka
According to the information received from the ministry, last week 1898 new corona cases were recorded across the country. Although, the total number of cases is still very less, but the figures of increase in corona cases are definitely alerting. The increase in corona cases has been increasing continuously for the last 5 weeks. A slight increase was observed in the first two weeks.

This is the highest Covid increase ever after the Corona wave in July last year. During February 27, 2023 to March 5, a large number of the latest figures are from South India and Maharashtra. The maximum number of 473 cases were registered in Karnataka. After this, 410 cases were recorded in Kerala and 287 in Maharashtra.
